One of Tiddles' friends has a posh camera which takes pictures in colour! That must be Tiddles' camper in the photo, it looks lovely ( I've always wanted a red one!) and I see he is staying at the Hotel Jampot in 'Sandy Bay'. Sounds nice!

Tiddles looks quite a home behind the wheel of the red VW bus!
oops should be "at" home. Does he have a little kitchen set-up in the back of the van?
Oh yes! A little tiny cooker and tiny sink too! Tiddly Tiddles size!
adorable!
I can see a whole children's book emerging! These are such a lovely idea and so beautifully drawn.x
Thanks Jessie, that's so encouraging - but how do you make it happen? I've sent loads of samples off to various publishers, but it either gets completely ignored, or eventually it gets sent back:( How should one go about it, I wonder? I think my next plan will be to make up a dummy book and send them that! Any advice from anyone is more than welcome!
Hi Liz, I don't have any personal experience of book publishers but I've heard that you could send a 'dummy' of roughs along with 2 samples of finished artwork and ring them before sending to make sure they accept new artists. Glad to hear you had a dabble with the watercolour, it's not doing it for me either today, must be something in the water!;)x
Jessie you just took the words out of my mouth. I've been thinking that that's what Liz should be having a go at. Tiddles is crying for a story to be written Liz!
Guys, I'm putting together a 'dummy' book with all the Tiddles cartoons etc. I've done it a little cover and end-papers etc....Well, I'm sticking them over the top of an old kids book, so as to get the page structure right. Do you think that'll be OK? Trouble is, I'll have to send an sae and ask for it back if they don't like it, as I've just made the one....
Whatdaya reckon?
I hope you're not sending the originals, make sure you've got jpgs, then you can make several mock-ups if you need to. Jess x
Do it in fours. Either 4 or 8 or 12 pages. That's how it's done. If you have a couple blanks front and back to make it work, that's okay.
I love dimensional books with little add on bits. When I saw your postcard, I saw it in the book as a separate removable piece. In a little pocket. A mock scrapbook travel journal of sorts. With pictures "pasted" with little black photo corners. Another pocket with Tiddle's fav things. I'm getting too complicated??!
I'm wishing you luck, liz!
