Whew! What a week that was! I started in my new post last Monday, and haven't come for air since! I'm really enjoying the job, but I'm finding it pretty tiring, as I have a sixty-mile commute every day now - and there's never anywhere to park the car! I work with lovely people in a very nice office, so all is good, so far! I've been working in partnership (ha ha!) with Tiddles on an energy presentation for primary school children. Here are a couple of pictures of Tid turning his heating down and wearing a fetching pink aran jumper, and being blown by a wind turbine! I hope you're all well - I can't wait to visit your blogs and see what you've all been doing - but first, I have to go and iron all my 'posh' clothes!

I'm glad your first week has gone well! There's a certain irony that you have to drive 60 miles (round trip? or one way?) for this job, since i'm sure Tiddles will encourage the children to use public transport. He looks very cozy in his thick jumper!
so pleased to hear Liz that you 1st week went well and look forward to reading more. take care, Judyx
Posh clothes? Outrageous! No fun commuting, Liz, is it? I drive home from Blackpool on a Friday - 224 miles (6 hours on a good day and Friday is not a good day. Monday at 6am, I set off back. A bit exhausting, but I have this week off and hopefully on Monday, I take over my apartment - better than a box-shaped hotel room! Hopefully, in a few months, we will have moved up.
By the way, Tiddles is looking sleek. The exercise must be doing him good. I just hope he is a good navigator?
Best wishes
Laurie
I think Tiddles, and your good self, can only be commended for finding creative ways to pass these important messages to young minds in their formative years... it's clear we need to change our mindsets about energy. Maybe Tiddles could get warmed up again by a solar convection heater ? Wow, hope you'll be ok with the commuting... and keeping up with the posh clothing side... but sounds like a great job for you and Tiddles...
Ggrrrrt to hear from you again Liz and to see that Tiddles has become an energy icon. Just dont do what I did and leave a biro in your pocket and throw it into the wash...unless you favour the tie-dye woodstock throwback look
Blimey! So much has changed since I've been away :) Well done at getting you new job, it must have been nerve wracking at first. Good to hear it's going well and happy to see you're still finding time for our visits with Tiddles!x
