Italiano belissimo!

On the theme of nice old things which aren't in any way technical, here is a pic of my coffee maker and my Lucky Kitten espesso cup. This little blue Bialetti makes the most delicious cafe - which just goes to prove, you don't need to spend 100's on a tab-whatsit-looks-like-K9 coffee maker. Mind you, I wouldn't say no to a nice, shiney Giaggia in my kitchen! I got my Bialetti about six years ago, from Umbertide market, and it's still making great coffee! I'm trying to set up my new ibook today, which is so frustrating, as it's completely different to this pc, and I can't seem to get it to recognise my printer. I really like it, though, and I'm sure I'll get there in the end! (Just not sure when 'the end' will be, probably when I'm 90!)

Beautiful blue Bialetti! I've never seen them in blue before...i've got one of the ordinary shiny ones (not so shiny anymore...). It's gone through many many gaskets in its lifetime. The cat mug is adorable, too.

Hi Liz, very nice coffee maker...looks simple to use. I don't drink coffee but if I did that would be great to have. Congratulations on getting an iBook. Which one is it. We are a Mac family and my husband helps people use their computers in their homes and even at a distance through the magic of technology. Let me know what your problem is, there may be a simple solution.
best wishes,
Nan

Is that a Richard Scarry cat I spy behind? :)

I love Richard Scarry stories. We were raised on them and were so pleased they still print his books so we could buy new copies. Love the cup btw
